Improve your data science skills by solving a real business problem and be part of the Dataracing data science competition. Predict in the most accurate way on the Hungarian retail loan dataset which borrowers will have a defaulted loan. Take home one of the prizes for the best solutions. The competition, jointly organised by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, the central bank of Hungary (MNB) and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), aims to create a platform for professional development and connectivity for the Hungarian data science community. The Dataracing competition is jointly organised by MNB and BME.
The MNB’s experts provide the specialist knowledge in the field, as well as the business problems and data needed to compete. BME's colleagues from the data science faculty and researchers will be involved in the professional organisation of the competition.
The Digitalisation Directorate of the MNB is responsible for the digitalisation of the financial system and the support of the domestic FinTech sector. Its objectives include supporting the participation of Hungarian players in the data economy, increasing the data-driven economy and developing domestic data science knowledge.
As one of the oldest technical higher education institutions in Europe, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) aims to provide elite education in technical fields, to conduct research at the forefront of Hungarian and international higher education and to be an important source of innovation in its field, helping the development of Hungarian companies.
